The whole process takes about a minute. Here is exactly what to do at each step.
-
1
Pick your game and your hideout
At the top of the generator choose Path of Exile 1 or Path of Exile 2. Then open the hideout list and pick the hideout you actually live in.
- A .hideout file only imports into the same hideout type it was made for.
- The art is placed at the centre of that hideout. You can move it with the X and Y position.

Settings
How big the art is in your hideout. Bigger art shows more detail but needs more decorations. 100 units suits most images.
The most decorations the art may use. Path of Exile allows 750 per hideout. The outline is drawn first so the shape stays clear.
X and Y in hideout coordinates. It starts at the centre of your hideout and the reset button puts it back.
Fewer colours give a cleaner poster look. More colours keep shading.
Keep your stash, waypoint, benches and masters, everything from the base layout or nothing.
Builds just the line work and dark features so you can fill the colours yourself in game.
Troubleshooting
Import does nothing
Make sure you import into the same hideout type you chose on the website.
Parts of the art are missing
Those decorations are not unlocked on your account. Unlock the ones listed on the result page and import again.
The art is not filling well
Lower the art size. A smaller picture needs fewer decorations, so the same limit fills it more completely.
It looks blocky or blurry
Raise the art size or use an image with clearer outlines and flat colours.
Keep my current layout
Importing can replace your layout. Export your hideout in game first so you can always go back.

Tips for the best results
- Cartoons, logos, anime and icons with bold outlines convert best.
- Use one clear subject on a plain or transparent background. White backgrounds are removed while white parts of the subject are kept.
- Decorations lean earthy, so very bright neon colours are matched to the nearest colour family.
- See real examples in the art guides and more on the blog.
