Window switching fake items and other classic traps.

The same ideas apply in Path of Exile 1 and Path of Exile 2 unless a step says otherwise.

Safe trading habits

  1. Read the item mods in the trade window before you accept.
  2. Prefer public premium tabs with clear prices for selling.
  3. Bulk currency deals need extra care. Confirm stack sizes in the window.
  4. If a whisper pressure tactic appears, leave. Real buyers wait a moment.
  5. Keep your own hideout tidy so visitors can reach your stash without confusion.

Pricing without stress

Search comparable items rather than inventing a number. If nothing similar exists, start a little high and cut once. Undercutting into dust helps nobody and teaches bad instincts.

After the trade

Deposit currency into labelled tabs. Update public tabs so sold items do not sit as ghosts. When your hideout becomes a shop floor, a clean crest or logo from the generator is optional flavour that still leaves pathing clear.
